My blogging is very erratic, indeed. This just isn't quite my style of communicating but an old friend of mine just told me about his blog and I referred him to mine and then realized that there's nothing much to it. Although he said it was "pure Jamie" - did he mean there's nothing much to me? No, I know what he meant. Even though this blog doesn't say much what it does say is very much in the style of me.

My college reunion is in two weeks. I have very mixed feelings about the whole ordeal. College was not the best four years of my life, like so many claim it should be. I've been down to Northfield a few times since graduation (more so lately now that I live here) and just the physical setting reminds me of drama I'd rather not remember. I try to recognize it as a benchmark for how I've grown but there's still some sense "this sucked."

Reunion was okay. Here is a picture. Nick Baker, Unknown, Greg Erickson, Jamie Foehl and Naomi Dietzel-Dulin.

Naomi's Surprise Socks and Jamie's Red Hair

Naomi's Socks and Red Hair

In early May of 2004, I decided I needed to re-invent myself. In order to do so, I went to my local supermarket, Lund's, and bought Herbal Essences hair dye (I've seen what the Herbal Essences shampoo does in the commercial so I figured, why not?) Naomi, my college roommate and longtime friend, was my beautician and we spent an hour in my bathroom working on my reinvention. What you see in this picture is the result.

At the end of the month I was sort of over being reinvented so I bought the dye that most closely matched my old hair color and I had Naomi dye it back. But I didn't get my old hair color. It was still red, not just soooo red.

A note about Naomi's socks. Here is why she likes them. When her socked feet are in her shoes they just look like regular stripes. What she likes is that there is a bright color on the toe that nobody knows about.

There's a bus strike in Minneapolis. Commies. I walked to work one morning. 22 blocks. Nice for a day but not a long term solution. Not a long term solution because it's still so cold my snot freezes. And then it snowed. It was actually quite pretty and the temperature has risen but still it's March.

Last March on St. Patty's Day I was wearing a t-shirt.

Today I'm wearing pink pants. They are cute.

On Sunday, for the first time in...weeks? months? I was at home during the day in my apartment. It was nice to have time to clean, organize, read etc but I got restless quickly. I felt like there was something I wanted to be doing but I didn't know what that was. I went from one newspaper, to magazine, to book, to phone call, to channel to the next but at the end of the day something wasn't quite right.

Life is MN is blechity blech blech blech. I love my job but everything else is so ho hum dull. I don't even deserve a Jamiedrama blog. It should be Jamiefreezingcold.com

This font is terrible. Looks like what a bimbo would chose. How to fix it?
