I moved to Washington State in October 2023. Just in time for the rainy dark season. I lived in someone's basement in Marysville. With my dog, Hazel.
I'm surprised I stayed.
But, here we are in 2025 and I live in Greenwood in Seattle. Morning walk with the dog starts with a view of the Olympics and then up two blocks up the street, the Cascades. It's stunning. Automatic amnesia for the rainy dark times.
